Our client has been engaged to lead the enhancement of a retail offering by a well-known bank based in NYC. This engagement is a chance for you to become a team member creating and building out this product through its levels of expansion. The ideal candidate has documented experience as a data product owner and advanced knowledge of the development process with respect to sprint intake and stakeholder management. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to be a part of something groundbreaking at its beginning stages.

Data Product Owner Requirements:

Strong leadership skills, with noted success and experience as a data product owner (3+ years)

Ability to work with SQL in a big data context, notable knowledge of Python in order to clearly direct team/project

Comfort in working in an agile environment

Familiarity with Jira and Confluence a plus

Experience establishing process in sprint intakes

Diplomacy in communicating with stakeholders, managing expectations

Highly collaborative with a history of effective communication skills

This exciting opportunity is a 12+ month contract position, with the potential for additional extensions as the product is developed. The role would require initial stay in NYC during onboarding (1 month), with a move to 2 days a week travel after that.
